Christian Eigner
You could say Christian is good at drums. Maybe it’s because he started playing at the age of four. Or maybe it’s because so many people know it’s the truth. Among those people are the members of the internationally adored band, Depeche Mode. You see, Christian has been Depeche Mode’s drummer since 1997. What you may not know, however, is that he is also an accomplished songwriter in his own right. He wrote and produced Dave Gahan’s entire solo album, and has written chart-topping hits with him for DM to name just some of his high-profile collaborations away from the kit.
When he is in his creative flow, Christian works as if possessed to achieve sounds that instantly grab attention. And he does it with real instruments that he plays himself, not with pre-packaged sounds created by someone else.
